Greetings from the Webmasters!
Thank you for stopping by. As you are likely to be interested in the
well-being of the Corp or Cadets at the US Coast Guard Academy, we hope
you will become active in our organization. Please read through the pages
of this site and feel free to contact one of the many member volunteers
who would like to welcome you to the National Parents Association.
We are "a non-profit organization which exists for the sole
purpose of supporting the US Coast Guard Academy and its Corps of Cadets.
It seeks to expand public understanding and appreciation of the Academy;
to encourage well-qualified young men and women to apply for appointments
as Cadets; to assist with the orientation of new cadets and their parents;
to promote communication between parents, cadets and the Academy Administration;
and to make known to its membership the opportunities for participating
in Academy and support projects offered by the United States Coast Guard
Academy Alumni Association."
A complete description of the Association and how we operate may be found
in our Constitution & By-Laws.
If you haven't the time to go into that much detail, a great summary was
provided by one of our past Presidents - Bob Pray (Capt, USCG - Ret.).
Please read his message about our Assocation.
After reviewing this site we hope you will join us in supporting the USCG
Academy and the Corps. of Cadets and become
a member of our Association!
We will be working on many important projects in the coming year. We
would enjoy your friendship, support, and commraderie in helping us help
the Academy and the Corps of Cadets.
This Web Site
This site has been built over the years by large group of transient volunteers (yes, our cadets do graduate!). We are in the process of moving to a more organized format for the site and hope to unveil the new site in the fall of 2009.
If you have any questions, critiques, or ideas for this site, please do not hesitate to contact us at your earliest opportunity! We welcome
any and all feedback in making this site an even better tool to support
those who support our cadets.
