Where parents wish to share the photo albums, we provide facilities to do so among our Association friends. Please follow the text below to begin viewing or contributing to the photos posted by Association parents.

While a picture may be worth a thousand words, it is not a substitute for the more traditional forms of support. Most parents find a great deal of support through e-mails, and their local chapters, leading to direct contact and friendships built over time. Sharing photos fosters these relationships, helping us to build a group with purpose, and support our cadets and the Coast Guard.

The USCGA Parents Association web site does not actually post parent photos directly. We do however provide for parents to post Web links to their on-line photo albums. We maintain a list of album links for parents to share their on-line photo albums. There are a great many services which provide for the ability to store and manage photo albums on the Internet. The ability to post photos on-line is a technology service which has proven to be a great benefit to parents of cadets, who can may not be able to visit the Academy as much as they wished. We see these services as a means to keep Association members connected and sharing their experiences when attending various cadet events.

Prior to this year, we tried to organize photos by Class. This was becoming very difficult as most photos include cadets from multiple classes. Swab summer photos include a lot of wonderful pictures of Swabs, but they also include Cadre (3rd Class) and Regimental Staff/Officers (1st Class). So, we will be organizing photos by school year from now on.

Create Your Own Album

Internet services for the storage and viewing of photos has been available for several years. Many of these services are made available free of charge! This is an important point and bears repeating...lots of services are free of charge! All kidding aside, with the advent of scanners and digital cameras, getting photos on-line is getting easier by the day. Those services which are free of charge! may not last and often go by the way of other "dot-com" companies. Many have closed there doors and there is a great deal of consolidation in the market place.

If you don't know how to proceed from here, perhaps the information below could be of help...
