WELCOME!

The Coast Guard Academy Parents Association is a national level organization comprised of three components - the General Membership, the Executive Council and the affiliated local chapters. All parents of cadets attending the Coast Guard Academy are eligible and encouraged to join the Parents Association. Parents of alumni are also encouraged to continue on as active members. The Parents Association exists to support the Corps of Cadets, the Coast Guard Academy and the parents of all cadets. We also actively support and encourage applicants, prospective cadets, and their parents as they navigate their way through the Admissions process and make the difficult choices involved in the collegiate selection process. Parents are encouraged to join the Parents Association and their nearest local chapter:

By way of introduction, please review all sections of this site with the navigation bar at the top left. Please give us feed back on the information contained within our web site so we may help better support ourselves! If you are a member of the Parents Association, we encourage you to join the class list associated with your cadet's Class. These lists are for parent to parent communications and for posting of announcements and information related to cadet life and Academy activities, sports and issues of general interest. Periodically we cross reference list subscribers with our membership roles. The class lists are intended for the sole use of our members and parents who have sons and daughters attending the United States Coast Guard Academy, please be sure to join an appropriate class List. These Lists are for Parent to Parent communications and for posting of announcements and information relative to cadet and academy activities.

Use the Message List Button to access the list once you've signed up and have received a notification of list membership.

The new list will be "member only" after 31 October.

The 2009, 2010, and 2011 Lists will be migrated to the new system after the bugs are worked out with the help of the 2012 parents.

Note: The 2012 List does NOT use the same procedure as our older Lists (2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011) and you should have no problem using your regular email address to sign up. However, we have an ongoing issue with Comcast subscribers not receiving email from our older Lists and we VERY STRONGLY suggest using an email account other than Comcast to subscribe. There are several very good (and free) email services that we have no problem with. Some of these free email services are gmail, hotmail, and yahoo.
